Community Colleges Leading Rural-Based Green Economy Initiatives (12/08)
Hosted by the American Association of Community Colleges' SEED initiative, this webinar will dicuss how community colleges are a qualified workforce to support the sustainable argiculture sector in rural regions, as well as how their strategic and active regional partnerships are leading to the growth of jobs. The webinar is held on December 8, 2011, from 2-3pm ET.
Energy Smart Conference (9/27-9/29)
This three day conference will consist of workshops and various keynote speakers that will discuss energy efficiency and savings. There will representatives from various industries including government energy officers, corporate sustainability leaders, environmental health, safety officers, etc. There will also be a panel discussion called "Total Energy Management in Education". The conference will occur September 27th to 29th at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Creating a Sustainable Campus Through High Performance Design and Energy Conservation (6/23 & 6/27)
This event is the first in a series of workshops regarding greenhouse gas tracking and the tools to be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on College and University Campuses will be held at SUNY Dutchess in Poughkeepsie, NY. This workshop will include a speaker from the EPA who will discuss LEED and High Performance Guidelines, Energy Star, and incentive programs through NYSERDA. This workshop will be followed by the second in the series to be held on June 27th, 2011 at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, New York.
2011 ASHRAE Annual Conference (6/25-6/29)
This year’s conference will bring experts and knowledge of HVAC&R from all over the world to continue the goal of creating a more sustainable and energy efficient building industry. The conference is scheduled for June 25-29, 2011.
2011 Energy Sustainability Conference (8/7-8/10)
2011 Energy Sustainability Conference & Fuel Cell Conference: The conference consists of plenary talks, panel discussions, technical sessions (as well as workshops for students), and poster presentations, in order to provide an opportunity for communication among all sectors and exchange of innovative ideas, leading edge concepts, and ongoing R&D efforts in the areas of sustainability energy. The conference is scheduled for August 7-10, 2011.
