AASHE is hosting a presentation and Q&A session with two experts in the field of campus energy management and conservation who will explain how "Effective Campus Energy Conservation" can make a difference on your campus. Understanding Sustainability: Perspectives from the Humanities
This conference intends to construct bridges across the diverse terrains of sustainability theory and practice, engaging in productive dialogue and debate that might lead to innovative green frameworks for environmental scholarship, activism, research, and policy. The conference also seeks to encourage innovative dialogues between diverse groups from academic fields that are not always in the sustainability conversation. This conference is hosted by The Portland Center for Public Humanities at Portland State University.
Crafting Your Climate Action Plan: Sharing Best Practices (03/10)
This workshop is for people at institutions that have posted their greenhouse gas inventories and are preparing their climate action plans, and will provide participants with the knowledge and skills for leading workshops on climate action planning and campus/community engagement. This workshop is presented by The American College and University Presidents’ Climate Commitment.
Sustainability Essentials that Senior Architects Would Have Liked to Learn in School (1/19)
This will be a lively discussion of the qualifications that recent graduates bring to their first job. This meeting will explore what architecture graduates should be taught regarding interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainable design of carbon neutral and net zero buildings. The New Green Economy (01/20)
This conference by the National Council for Science and the Environment will engage leaders from a diversity of disciplines, sectors, and perspectives in a structured conversation about the meaning of the green economy and how investment in green education, research and jobs can help solve both the economic and environmental crises.
Renewable Energy Supplier Summit (02/22)
This event is organized by the Commercial Building Energy Alliance Steering Committee members, in coordination with DOE, and offers building owners and operators an opportunity to communicate their renewable energy needs directly to suppliers of renewable energy equipment and ask suppliers to find ways to meet those challenges.
