This workshop will assist Colleges and Universities in tracking and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Representatives from Kean University and the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability will discuss greenhouse gas inventory tools, sustainability program design and subsidies available through the Clean Energy Program. The workshop will be held at The New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey on April 18th from 9:00am-2:00pm as a part of an Environmental Protection Agency grant.

This workshop will assist Colleges and Universities in tracking and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.  As a part of an Environmental Protection Agency grant, this workshop will occur at various locations throughout February, March and April.  This workshop specifically will be held at the EPA's Region 2 Headquarters in New York City on February 10th from 9:00am-2:00pm. Representatives from Kean University and the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability will discuss greenhouse gas inventory tools and sustainability program design.

These workshops are part of an EPA grant designed to help you and your campus community learn how to track and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

This event is the first in a series of workshops regarding greenhouse gas tracking and the tools to be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on College and University Campuses will be held at SUNY Dutchess in Poughkeepsie, NY. This workshop will include a speaker from the EPA who will discuss LEED and High Performance Guidelines, Energy Star, and incentive programs through NYSERDA. This workshop will be followed by the second in the series to be held on June 27th, 2011 at SUNY ESF in Syracuse, New York.

This is a pre-conference workshop in advance of NACUBO’s Smart & Sustainable Campuses Conference. This hands-on workshop will discuss about how to set reduction targets, prioritize and compare carbon reduction projects, and incorporate results in the climate action plan.
