2012 ACUPCC Climate Leadership Summit (6/21-6/22)

The 2012 ACUPCC Climate Leadership Summit will be held at American University in Washington D.C. from June 21st through 22nd.  The theme of this year's summit is, "Economic Renewal: jump-starting a sustainable economy through the ACUPCC".  The 2012 Climate Leadership Summit will bring together professionals from the higher education sector to discuss topics such as green career preparation and relevance, increasing opportunities through access and affordability, and the concept of campuses as a basis for innovation in the field of sustainability.

Green Revolving Funds: Accounting and Finance 101 (1/27)

Representatives from Harvard University, University of New Hampshire and California Institute of Technology will discuss their institutions' management of green revolving funds and how these funds have impacted their sustainability efforts.  The Sustainable Endowments Institute and the Vermont Energy Investment Corporation will co-host this event.  The webinar will occur on January 27th from 2:30-3:30pm EST.

Green Design and Carbon Tracking: Efficient Campus Practices and Operations (2/10)

This workshop will assist Colleges and Universities in tracking and lowering greenhouse gas emissions.  As a part of an Environmental Protection Agency grant, this workshop will occur at various locations throughout February, March and April.  This workshop specifically will be held at the EPA's Region 2 Headquarters in New York City on February 10th from 9:00am-2:00pm. Representatives from Kean University and the New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability will discuss greenhouse gas inventory tools and sustainability program design.

A Sea Change II: Creating Institution-Wide Sustainability in Higher Education (1/18)

This webinar will focus on the culture shift necessary to implement sustainability in higher education.  Presenters from Loyola Chicago's Department of Environmental Sciences and Massachusetts Institute of Technology's department for environmental sustainability will discuss their schools as case studies in the field of sustainability in higher education. "A Sea Change II: Creating Institution-Wide Sustainability in Higher Education" will occur on January 18th from 1-2 pm EST.

Northeast Campus Sustainability Consortium Conference (4/2-4/4)

The 8th annual Northeast Campus Sustainability Consortium Conference will be held from April 2-4, 2012 at Syracuse University.  This year's conference, entitled "Climate, Community and Culture", will give students, faculty and staff a chance to share their experiences and practices.
