HBCUs Compete in 2010 RecycleMania

RecycleMania is an annual competition that encourages colleges and university students to reduce waste on their campuses. The 2010 RecycleMania, which started on 17 January and ends 27 March, is in high gear.
Students compete within their schools and against other schools by:
- collecting the largest amount of recyclables per capita
- collecting the largest amount of total recyclables
- using the least amount of trash per capita
- having the highest recycling rate
Participating HBCUs include:
- Bowie State University
- Coppin State University
- Delaware State University
- Florida A & M University
- Grambling State University
- Howard University
- Jackson State University
- Morgan State University
- Spelman College
- Texas Southern University
- University of Maryland Eastern Shore
- Winston-Salem State University
